Our Roots

Given the tremendous impact of HIV/AIDS in all communities, fighting the disease requires a strong commitment from every church, faith and religious denomination. AIDS crosses religion, race and gender. The Allen Temple Baptist Church AIDS Ministry is focused on helping all people who have been affected by the pandemic regardless of religion, gender, race, disability, creed, sexual orientation or national origin.

And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Corinthians 12:26

Cultivating Leadership

The Allen Temple Baptist Church AIDS Ministry has developed a Leadership Development Program which encourages and assists other faith based churches or entities to create HIV/AIDS ministries or programs within their local communities. As people of faith, we know there are individuals, churches and organizations which may possibly benefit from our twenty plus years of experience helping and answering the needs of people impacted by the disease.

Branching Out

Every church has the opportunity to:

  • Care for and support those infected and affected by the disease.
  • Provide testing services and/or resources.
  • Create prevention and counseling programs.
  • Champion healthy behaviors.
  • Help to eliminate the stigma of the disease.
