Greetings Family,

Ponder these thoughts from the author of the book, “Discerning The Voice Of God”:

“The Holy Spirit is to us what the control tower is to an airplane pilot. The Spirit’s ability to see what we cannot see, and then communicate information to us based on His knowledge, provides us with insight we could never obtain through onboard instruments alone.“ (Page 38); Priscilla Shirer, Author

For this week (February 4 through February 10), we beseech you to pray and meditate on these scriptures and on the words of the familiar church song. If possible, let us pray together during the 7am morning hour, 7pm evening hour or 12:00 noon time-frame.

Prayer Themes and Scriptures

  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV): 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Psalm 119:125 (ESV): I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies!
    • Believe, God has the answers
  • Psalm 27:14 (KJV): Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
  • Believe, God has the answers
    • Habakkuk 2:3: “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”
    • Sunday School Lesson (02/10) – Pondering God's Steadfast Love
    • Psalm 48:1-3, 9-14 (NIV): 1 Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. 2 Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth, like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King. 3 God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress. 9 Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. 10 Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness. 11 Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments. 12 Walk about Zion, go around her, count her towers, 13 consider well her ramparts, view her citadels, that you may tell of them to the next generation. 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.

Please come join us in Sunday school as we wrestle with and discuss this week’s lesson
